Create an Agent
How to create, configure and test your first Taliiq AI agent, in Basic or Advanced mode.
Deploying an agent on Taliiq is designed to be transparent. Templates and defaults handle speech, language and voice, so you can test in minutes.
Step-by-step
Open the wizard
Navigate to Build → Agents and click Create Agent. If your workspace has no agents yet, the page asks What do you want to automate? and offers one card per audience. Pick a card to jump straight to the matching templates.
Language & dialect
Pick language and dialect (for example Arabic + Egyptian). These drive speech and voice matching.
Pick a template
Choose who the agent is for:
| Audience | What it is for |
|---|---|
| For customers | Agents that talk to your customers over voice or chat, such as support, reservations or reception |
| For operations | Agents that work behind the scenes, such as sorting tickets, scoring leads or calling customers to confirm appointments |
Then narrow by business domain, by capability (Chat, Voice, API) or by search. Each card shows what the agent can do. For templates that speak, choose the voice gender. Templates that never speak (chat-only or API-only) do not ask for it.
Click Configure Agent. Taliiq creates a draft agent and opens the editor.
Configuration workspace
A banner says Your agent is ready. Click Try it now to bring up the console.
Use the toggles at the top to choose what the agent does: Text chat, Voice calls and API. At least one must stay on. Next to them, switch between Basic and Advanced. Your choice is remembered in this browser.
Basic is the default. It shows only what a working agent needs, in two tabs:
| Tab | What you see |
|---|---|
| Setup | Language and dialect, What should it do? (the system prompt), Brain model, and then the sections for the capabilities you turned on (see below) |
| Actions | HTTP tools, MCP and built-in actions |
The Setup sections that follow depend on the capabilities:
| Capability | Section |
|---|---|
| Voice calls | Voice: choose Standard (speech recognition, speech language, voice provider and voice) or Realtime (one model that listens and speaks), plus the Greeting |
| Text chat | Welcome message (shared with the Greeting when voice is also on) and Quick questions |
| API | How to call it: a ready-to-copy request for this agent, a link to create an API key and a link to webhooks for results |
Advanced shows every setting:
| Tab | What to set |
|---|---|
| Brain | Agent name, system prompt, model, first message, knowledge files |
| Voice | Speech-to-text, text-to-speech, voice selection, timing and interruptions (voice-capable agents) |
| Actions | HTTP tools, MCP, and built-in actions |
| Guardrails | Safety rules and output constraints |
| Advanced | Server URLs, caching, and other runtime options |
The first time you open Advanced, a tip reminds you that everything there is optional because your template already set it. Edits are shared between the two modes and saved automatically, so you never lose work by switching.
Taliiq defaults are pre-filled on Brain and Voice. Test in the console on the right before you deploy. Voice and chat agents use the Live console. API agents use the API test tab, which runs the agent the same way a request from your system would. You can collapse the console with its close button and open it again from the edge of the screen.
Deploy
Click Deploy agent when console behavior looks right. The agent becomes active for channels.
Operations templates
Operations templates are built for work that happens without a person on the line.
| Template | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Ticket Triage | API | Sorts support tickets by category and priority, and flags the ones that need a person |
| Lead Qualification | API | Rates inbound leads by intent and fit, and flags which ones sales should contact today |
| Feedback Analysis | API | Tags reviews and survey answers by sentiment and topic, and flags unhappy customers |
| Conversation QA | API | Reviews finished calls and chats for resolution, courtesy and compliance slips |
| Appointment Confirmation Calls | Voice | Calls customers before an appointment to confirm, reschedule or cancel |
The four API templates come with a ready-made Classification tool, attached to your new agent for you. A classification tool answers typed questions with a confidence score, and the agent reports the result. English is the tested language for classification today, so results on other languages may be less reliable. Review the tool on the Actions tab and adjust its questions to match your business.
Voice defaults
On the Voice tab (or the Voice section in Basic), Taliiq pre-selects:
| Stage | Taliiq default |
|---|---|
| Speech-to-text | Optimized for Arabic dialects and bilingual sessions |
| Language model | Low-latency conversational models (configured on Brain) |
| Text-to-speech | Localized voices from the Voice Library |
Custom providers are optional via Integrations.
