Billing and plans

How your balance, plan fee, and included usage work together

Taliiq bills usage from one Available balance. It has two parts: included usage that comes with a paid plan, and top-ups you add yourself.

Available balance

PartWhere it comes fromWhen it expires
Included usageYour plan's monthly feeEnd of each billing period, whether you used it or not
Top-upsCredits you add or auto-reloadNever

Included usage is always spent first. Your top-ups are untouched until it runs out, so nothing you paid for outside the plan is lost when a period ends.

Find both numbers under Settings → Billing. The sidebar shows the combined available amount.

What included usage pays for

Included usage pays for metered usage: voice minutes, chat messages, process runs, provider costs billed through Taliiq, and knowledge embedding or summarization. It does not pay for the plan fee itself, add-ons, or refunds. Those are paid by card or from your top-ups.

Your plan fee is your minimum spend

Each paid plan includes usage equal to its monthly fee. You pay the higher of the fee or your usage:

  • Growth ($79 per month) includes $79 of usage. If you use $50, you pay $79 and the unused $29 expires. If you use $110, you pay $79 plus $31 from your top-ups.
  • Below a plan's break-even volume, Pay as you go is cheaper. Compare plans under Billing → Compare plans.

Included usage has no cash value. It cannot be refunded, transferred, or converted to top-up credit.

Bringing your own key removes only the provider's usage cost. The plan's platform fee still applies.

Changing plans

ChangeWhat happens to included usage
UpgradeYou pay the prorated difference and receive a prorated share of the extra included usage now. Your unused included usage stays.
DowngradeTakes effect at the end of the period. You keep everything the higher plan included until then.
CancelYour plan stays active until period end, then you move to Pay as you go and any leftover included usage expires.
RenewalA fresh grant replaces last period's leftover.
Failed renewal paymentNo new grant. The previous grant expires on its date.

Low balance and auto-reload

Alerts and auto-reload look at your available balance, so you are not asked to top up while included usage remains. When included usage expires and your top-ups are low, auto-reload tops up as usual.
